I’m Janet Jones, a designer, a teacher, a Masters student and Research Assistant, living and working in Toronto. I spent 10 (good) years at HOK Canada, first as an interior designer, then as a strategist and trendspotter for the HOK communications team. Since February ’09, I’ve been a full-time independent explorer of what’s going on in design, culture, aesthetics, looking for the sparks of life that are off the radar. I have no map, no plan. That way I know I’ll always end up somewhere I never knew existed.
This blog is my place to assemble what I find, the best of what’s just around the corner.

Tunc Ak
Hi Janet,
My name is Tunç Ak (prn.Toonch Ahk). I’m an independent artist working out of Los Angeles and I’ve launched an Albumsite for my new album titled: iTsAbEaT.
Please visit at http://www.tuncak.com to experience this stereo imaged, psychedelic, high paced, electronic beat music. (To skip flash intros, click the centers to get to the playlist)
This Albumsite, that is, the site is the album, merges the music, the player, the album art, and the distribution, into one entity, one packaging, the internet.
The idea is to offer free and complete access for anyone to listen online, download the album, post widgets of songs to their favorite sites, and to remix and upload any song back to the site.
For additional information and instructions on how to get the most out of this Albumsite, please go to the legal line subjects (at bottom of playlist box).
I am contacting you because it is my belief that support from sites like yours is exactly what helps the independent artist continue to offer their music for free.
You are the portal that bridges together the great divide between artist and audience.
Your involvement is invaluable and I would appreciate the posting of a review on your site after visiting http://www.tuncak.com
With gratitude,
-Tunc

This is my second time stumbling across your blog. I like the broad variety. Interesting….
Since you like to explore then maybe you’ll find my blog interesting. My goal is to make art and entertainment that millions of people will (hopefully) love, and make sweet money doin’ too
Just getting started so thought you might like to check it out periodically and see how things progress. Who knows… maybe I’ll create something truly spectacular someday.

Saw your card on http://www.cardsofchange.com and like your attitude and your thinking, . . .
I’ll track your site as you continue to explore for large ideas.
I’m continually amazed at the talent and level of awareness that the business world considers either redundant or of little value during a period when there is such strong need for new solutions in areas where the problems have become part of the landscape that we move through-
